Knife-like memories can't erase the stains
of all the things you've said.
This hope continues to pour from my veins
I have more blood to shed.
I've  tried to iron them
burn the flesh you tainted away
for the shower's water
can't wash down the words we say.
I've drank these memories
downed with shots, I realize
